Work Experience: Gerald started his career as the town hall reporter for the Mooresville Tribune, which included covering southern Iredell County and the Lake Norman area. Later he joined the Danville Register & Bee as an A&E/features writer, and eventually became the city reporter. At the News & Record, Gerald worked from the Rockingham County bureau and has also been a regional general assignment reporter. He picked up the Guilford County beat in January 2008.
